Double Exposure
May 16th, 2008Double Exposure is a project by AVPD. This installation is in a room with 3 windows. They made 3 lightboxes who represent the 3 real ones, they all face their original. There is light sensor at the window which measures the intensity and color of the sunlight. A computer processes the data and adjust the lightboxes in realtime, so on both sides of the room you’ll have the same light condition. It would also be interesting to have this ‘mirrored window’ at an other location or even an other timezone.

oh, wow. That’s the best attempt at recreating natural light that I’ve ever seen.
