The B, E, F, K and Z are really not all that great. The F and K in particular won’t be recognized as a letter outside of this context. Also, the X is missing.
Makes for an interesting study, but it isn’t finished yet. There is more to explore!
I find it very clever that a single shape would work for the entire alphabet. The X is not there but the again who needs the X?

Pieter, you had a shot at perhaps getting some rather nice gallery time (see my website). Your sarcasm and uncalled for attitude has taken that away. Perhaps something to think about.
John, I thought that my second comment would have cleared that whole “there is no X” issue. I didn’t want to offend you or anyone. Your comment is definitely one of the best ones here, I mean it.
But are you sure that you are who you say you are? Or is there a new Guggenheim in The Netherlands?
Guys, the x isn’t “missing”. It’s German, which doesn’t use x anymore for any native words. So while it’s *technically* part of the alphabet it’s effectively not.

It is so cool. I am much pretty amazed with that thing. You can create any letter except for the letter X.
However, Letter K is not so clear. It looks like the hand of a praying mantis.

There’s no sex without X! Who needs it indeed.
Also the I only looks like an I because it’s in sequence.

I think it’s fine. Where are you guys finding this “><” looking letter. I don’t even have that on my keyboard.
July 21st, 2008 at 6:04 pm
What about that “R”? I think it’s impressive.
If you must make an “><” just use the ” i “. twice.
