No, this isn’t a painting nor a photo of a painting. It isn’t photo of some very picturesque countryside either. As you can see in the second picture, Kim Keever has build this landscape in a huge 900 liters water tank and brought it to life with colored lights and the dispersal of pigment. I find it actually very kitsch, but technically amazing.

Milk by Calla Henkel.
Bruxelles by Raphaël Bastide, I guess it is supposed to indicate the weather in Brussels (Belgium).

This is my new favorite sofa: the Seracs designed by Alfredo Häberli for the Danisch brand Fredericia Furniture. It is actually a modular sofa, he designed 5 different elements which you can mix and match like you wish. Alfredo Häberli also designed the Kvadrat textiles used to upholster the sofa modules. The chance that you’ll end up with an unique sofa is quite big.
Maybe I overexaggerated a little, the Facett sofa by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec is still my No.1.

light bulb is a levitating yet powered lightbulb. It will float stably in midair and remain on for years without any physical contact, charging, or batteries. Ironically, with the levitation and wireless power circuitry both on, this entire package still consumes less than half the power of an incandescent bulb.
This is not a trick or a photoshop manipulation. The bulb and the casing contain hidden circuitry that uses electromagnetic feedback to levitate the bulb roughly 2.5″ from the nearest object, and uses coupled resonant wireless power transfer to beam power from the housing into the bulb itself.
This new TV ad for Cadbury is just funny. NoMoreSleep is damn right, it remind me of Daito Manabe’s Electric Stimulus too.
adidas will launch a new brand next month called adidas SLVR. There isn’t much information available yet, but it will be possitioned between adidas Originals and adidas Y-3.
The adidas SLVR label’s key message is “Simply Perfect”. The range shows a timeless and considered design; one that conveys a minimalist character, yet is fresh and progressive. The collection includes apparel, footwear and accessories for both men & women.
Rolex Time Sand is an installation by Michael Marcovici. One bag is filled with 30 kgs of sand, which equals 30 days flowing in a standard hourglass. On the 18 palets, there are 972 bags with a total weight of 29.160 kg. They last for 81 years- our generous estimation of an average lifestime. The image in the middle pictures the artist’s lifetime already consumed: 39 years.
