“Marc Newson: Urban Spaceman” is the title of an episode of Imagine, a cultural TV show on the BBC. Marc Newson is one of the most famous designers around. His style is quite particular, I actually only like a few of his designs. Nevertheless, I guess I’ll watch the other 4 parts of this documentary too. It’s always nice to gain some insight.
The new adidas SLVR line is finally available, judging for the pictures it looks very minimal. This sneaker called the SLVR 101 definitely looks quite different than any other one from adidas. The upper is made of only six pieces, they were stitched together instead of using glue. The upper is sewed to a one-piece outsole. By comparison, an average sneaker is build up from 25 to 30 pieces. The 7 pieces SLVR 101 fulfills the SLVR concept of “Reduced Complexity” perfectly. The SLVR 101 is also available in white.

Jonathan Jarvis did an amazing job visualizing and explaining the current credit crisis. Watch it: The Crisis of Credit Visualized, 11 minutes and 10 seconds well invested!
I had hoped to start riding my bike again this week but we still have snow & ice here in Berlin. I’m not that adventurous. These Bicycle Paintings by Taliah Lempert are the closest to the real thing I’ll get to for now.

“Available Online For Free” is the first solo exhibition and the title a book by Evan Roth. I’m a big fan, I’ve posted 7 projects by him or projects where he was involved with: Double Mouse, Laser Tag, White Glove Tracking, Hip-Hop Pop-ups, #BADA55, Explicit Content Only and New Era.
The book is a compilation of the amazing work he did during the last couple of years. You can buy your copy for just $26 or download the free PDF. These stickers are hilarious!
