This teddy bear called Kuma is not the kind you would give to a child. It is made of paper and was designed by the Japanese architect Ryuji Nakamura. The visual effect is really nice.

The Windup Flashlight by Lavrans Laading works without any batteries. You just have to twist it, the energy is then stored in some springs and slowly released to a generator. This prototype can run for 2 to 3 minutes on one charge. An old concept with a nice twist.
