Dutch design is excellent!
But if you would show me 10 student projects, I guess would be able to say which students come from the Design Academy.

You have a point Hugo. But if I would only post things that are inline with those manifests, there wouldn’t be much to see here.
Anna van der Lei is a student at the Design Academy Eindhoven, which might explain the more art & conceptual side of this object.

True, but I assumed that the Dieter Rams commandments you posted are a more or less common backbone to our thought on design, along with the Eames maniphest, Loos’s essay and others. That’s a common ground that allows us not only to form, but to share our opinions and to do so in a clear, unequivocal way.
On judging this or other objects, some criteria must be used, and as most of your selections are interesting beyond mere humour, I felt this one fell outrageously short of the mark.

Giotto’s Scrovegni Chapel is beautiful. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Kaufmann house is beautiful, the Gehry Wiggle Chair is beautiful, Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony 1, op9 is beautiful.

Sorry, but this is stupid. It doesn’t work as either a bath or a closet, so it’s basically another of these typical Dutch selfinvolved, useless objects. This is bad design.
