I just rediscovered the Sound Series of the Bootleg Objects. This is the ReBraun, an MP3 jukebox and server based on the Braun “Audio 1 Kompaktanlage” designed by Dieter Rams in 1962. It was build in 2002 – 2003, so I guess the hardware isn’t that up to date anymore. But I still would like to have on, the 12000 euro pricetag is just a little hefty – the loudspeaker unit is not included.

Best ad I’ve seen in a while: How To Smoke Smarties. No, not the Smarties we know here in Europe, but the American kind.
The Hemeroscopium House by Ensamble Studio is … I’m speechless. It only took 7 days to build the structure, just look at the massive beams. The 20 ton granite stone on top is a counterweight to the whole structure. Amazing!

Objectified is the most anticipated movie of the year, at least for me.It is actually a feature-length documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them. The graphic design studio Build designed the logo and this poster. The logo is hidden in the 6th row, the bottom row shows you the products used to make this film.
