This just goes to show what an amazing knowledge of the shape of things Picasso had. He could even draw them without any reference to any line he just drew. Brilliant

It's rather amusing that Pablo Picasso himself had fun with "light painting", just like a whole wave of young people today. It's also extremely interesting to see what he did with the medium, as it is a split-second act. His illustrations certainly are artistic, and different than the average teenager's. However, they are maybe not as different as you would have expected. Look on the bright side people. The first one is my favorite.

I don't care if people did this before or if people have done this since, all light photography has beautiful elements to me and this is no different. The fact that he still continued even while others ridiculed him is what is inspirational to me. And all art is simply taking techniques developed by others and trying your hand at it. Arguing about how "original" this is just because some people like looking at these pictures and you don't seems silly to me.

Nancy -" Everything Picasso did was not amazing or a flawless victory." - that is your opinion - nothing more. What is the point of your statement? By the way - where are your scribblings?

You people don't realize : Everything Picasso did was not amazing or a flawless victory. These paintings with lights look like anyone could have done them. They look like scribblings. Also, there was obviously the means to make these in 1949, they were not Photoshopped ? So who's the dork now.
