X, Y and Z is a collection of lights designed by Daniel Lorch. It all started when Daniel found a magnetic joint. The form of the lights is influenced by a text about the minimal art of John McCracken, which is about breaking the porportions of the gold section. The industrial look is a homage to the machines used to produce them.

“In Loving Memory – The Lamborghini Countach” is a design project by Martin Meier. To Martin, the Lamborghini Countach is the goddess of all super cars. Many of his childhood fantasies and early design adventures revolved around its very design. It embodies the quintessence of engineering and styling qualities focused on performance. “In loving Memory” is a collection of design classics on which he applied the extreme aesthetics of the Countach.
Many thanks to spanier for the photos!

Uniqlo Calender is the latest Uniqlo website to browse their apparel collection. This time they used those popular tilt shift videos to select a color. When you click on the video, a mosaic of Uniqlo apparel appears on top of it with the main colors matching to the video. When you click on an item you’ll get a detail view where you can click again to get to the next mosaic and so on. But the videos are the definitely the best part, the music is actually quite cool too. Like with every Uniqlo website, the attention to every little detail is amazing, just have a look at the little step by step guide to customise the widget. The Uniqlo Calender is not a groundbreaking website, it is just executed to perfection.
And while you’re at it, check the Uniqlo Tokyo Fashion Map too.

Bildbauten by Philipp Schaerer are a series of fictional architectures, digitally composed from scratch.

PULL and PULL-OVER are lamps designed by e27. Their base is a made of a 2,5 mm thick stainless steel disc which is lasered and then stretched to a height of almost 2 meters. This is very simple but nice production technique!
The only difference between both models is, you’ve guessed it, that the PULL-OVER is covered with a strech fabric. Both are available in 2 smaller sizes too.
