Triumph
July 20th, 2009Triump is the title of Aleksandra Mir‘s new exhibition project at the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, Germany. She placed an advert in a local Sicilian daily paper asking for sporting throphies. The response was enormous, she collected 2,529 trophies. Each of them have an engraving and tell a personal story of specific sport event.

Crazy. I had this same exact idea. I can scratch that one off the list. I better stop sitting on ideas. It’s nice to know that it turned out so well. The cups are great. US trophies would look completely different and much more ridiculous.
