4 Years of Today and Tomorrow
July 21st, 2009Today is the 4th birthday of Today and Tomorrow. I don’t really want to look back, it’s today afterall. All I can say it’s been a very nice experience so far, 2804 posts and counting.
What about tomorrow? Yeah, some upgrades/updates are long overdue. Time is not my best friend.
What could be better content for Today and Tomorrow than a concept car from yesterday? Actually the BMW GINA concept car debuted last year. Its shape is not revolutionary, but its skin design is. Just watch this new video.

adidas SLVR A/W 2009
July 20th, 2009This is the new video for the adidas SLVR A/W 2009 collection. And this how they describe the label: “adidas SLVR is pure, streamlined form, stripped of excess; it delivers effortless dressing for those who appreciate design. Rigorous simplicity. Total versatility. Pure understated style.” Exactly how I like it.
I guess they translated that perfectly in this video. All the direction and editing is top notch.

iQ Agility Font
July 20th, 2009I know that I’m a little internet-late to this party but the iQ Agility Font is a really cool project. The Belgian advertising agency Happiness Brussels asked Pierre Smeets and Damien Aresta of pleaseletmedesign to create a typeface with a Toyota iQ. They collaborated with Stef van Campenhoudt, a pro race pilot, who had to drive all the characters with the iQ. Zachary Lieberman wrote a custom software to track the movements of the car and translate them into single characters. Of course you can download the font for free here. You can find some making of pictures in this Flickr set.
