It doesn’t crash Safari for me.
But if it does for you, why not file a bug instead of just calling it “lame?” It’s a popular open-source project worked on by some really smart and talented people who are pushing forward the state of the art in web technology. I’ve found them very receptive when I’ve reported issues in the past.

Safary rules!
People who hate just to hate are lame.

I’m pretty sure the bug being referenced is in ImageKit, which is _used_ by Safari on Mac. That bug was fixed around 4 years ago (in Tiger, during the Drunkenbatman era). And it’s caused by image corruption, as it seems this GIF is using for the effect.

Look, when a modern browser can’t handle a standard web image …
You have to understand that I don’t like it when today and tomorrow causes Safari crashes.
So where can I report this bug?
I don’t hate to hate, today and tomorrow is filled with thing that I love.
I have a MacBook Pro with 2GB RAM and Safari 4.0.3 and it crashes every single when I want to look at a big animated GIF.

They generate their own aura and then destroy it! Wow! What would Walter Benjamin think.
