Evolver
October 11th, 2009Evolver is a wooden construction build by 2nd year students from the ALICE Studio at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. When you walk through it, you’ll make a 720° turn and have an amazing panorama on the surroundings of Zermatt.

Looks pretty neat but what’s the point?
Seems you could get just about the same view without the aid of this structure. All you have to do is rotate your line of vision 720 degrees
Not to say that it isn’t interesting and perhaps a work art cause sure there’s some kind of value

ya I would also like to know if there was a purpose beyond building a cool structure? but dont get me wrong, that thing is awesome

For me, this is more than simply getting a 720° turn and have an amazing panorama on the surroundings of Zermatt…it’s about embracing a new view on the landscape and being introduced to a new body experience as you walk around this structure.
