Fred Lebain visited New York during last spring and photographed different locations. Then he printed out some large details, returned to those spots and made new photos of the prints aligned to the locations. It’s a very simple idea, but the idea is very nice.
This Papercraft Self Portrait was Eric Testroete his Halloween costume last weekend. Eric is a 3D artist in the Vancouver game industryand he was inspired by the big-head mode seen in videogames. It was probably quite fun for him to do an offscreen project with his 3D skills. You can find more photos in this Flickr set.
MDF shelf, 6 feet long, 1 foot wide, 3/4 inch thick, resting on two metal brackets displaying books borrowed from Belk Library. The shelf sags under the weight of its contents in a graceful arc, the top edges of all the books are perfectly flush as a result of a conscious selection of volumes chosen to accommodate (or compensate for) the arc of the sagging shelf.
