Bounce Room 1 & 2
March 12th, 2010Bounce Room 1 & 2 are 2 paintings by Michael Guidetti. They’re not just normal paintings, I would call them augmented paintings. Together with the paintings come projectors which add animation to the sceneries. This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen lately, just watch the videos below.

An other painting is called Untitled, here Michael added virtual sunlight which wanders through the during during the course of the day.

Wonderful stuff! Very illusionistic. Guidetti seems to be very interested in the physical nature of light in art and how we can utilize it in new ways. Personally I’m very excited to see someone using digital projections in their paintings because I use the technique myself, albeit in different ways: http://hypothete.blogspot.com/search/label/projectionpainting
I haven’t seen anyone else making projection paintings until now, so this is really cool. :D
