KRE House
March 26th, 2010The brief for this house was quite simple: “I want a 9 car garage and be able to enjoy viewing one of them in the living room.” Takuya Tsuchida designed exactly such a house, it has an elevator for one car from the garage to the living room. I can totally understand the owner of a Lamborghini Countach Anniversary edition, to make such a request. I guess it’s no surprise that can find this house in Tokyo.

Wow, that is real inspiring. May I live there for 4 weeks to check it out how it feels? Yes? Great, I will arrive saturday. And please don´t forget to leave the key of your lambo, so that I can go for a ride ;o)

Hey Ralf. Please keep the place nice and tidy as I will be checking in after you leave on Saturday, April 24th. Don’t forget, check out is by noon. I have a reservation for the SAAM room at The Bazaar by Jose Andres at 6pm, so I will need the keys to the Lambo as well. I’m checking out early Monday morning, as I can only stand Los Angeles for a couple of days at a time.
Thank you in advance :)

[...] If you have the money, nothing is impossible. Your every wish and desire will be fulfilled. Take for instance the case of this wealthy car enthusiast in Tokyo. His wish, “I want a 9 car garage and be able to enjoy viewing one of them in the living room.” And taking his wish to be a command was designer Takuya Tsuchida, who designed this unique house, christened the KRE House, to suit his client’s needs. The client, whose collection of cars includes the Lamborghini Countach Anniversary edition, must surely be satisfied with the end result. As you can see from the pictures, the car is on a platform that raises and lowers according to the owners wish. Every time the owner wishes to admire his priceless car or show off when there are guests around, all he needs to do is raise the platform. A car as the centerpiece of your living room! Now this is a luxury only a few can afford and the rest of us can only dream of. Source Via [...]

It’s a piece of art, why should the owner only get to appreciate it when he is inside? Personally, I’d rather see my Miura S, but that is a real museum piece!

Sensibly put the fridge just next to the left hand car door. Pull in, step out and crack a cold one.
