Depots

June 4th, 2010

Here are 3 photos from Branislav Kropilak his Depots series. Don’t you think they look like robot heads?

Sugar Free

June 4th, 2010

Sugar Free, a plaster bust covered with sugar free gum, by Nick van Woert. But maybe I still like his plastic covered plaster busts better.

Sandra Backlund Autumn Winter 2010

June 3rd, 2010

There’re only a few fashion designers which I check out twice a year. One of them is Sandra Backlund. It’s interesting to see how her style evolves, here you can see some of her older work.

Mikroskop

June 1st, 2010

Mikroskop is one of the installations by Olafur Eliasson in his exhibition “Innen Stadt Außen” (Inner City Out), at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin. It’s a huge kaleidoscope in the atrium of the museum, as high as the skylight. I still need to visit this exhibition, but I want to go when it’s as empty as possible. And when I have new camera (I’m currently looking into a Ricoh GR Digital III). The deadline is August 9th!

Intrusive Sculptures

June 1st, 2010

Intrusive Sculptures are 2 installations by Paul Souviron, based on the idea of miniature sailing boats in glass bottles. Paul installed these sculptures in vacant shops by sliding them under the door. Once they were in, he unfolded or inflated the sculptures, without vandalizing the property. So he turned the vacant shops into exhibition spaces. Very very cool work!
