dump.fm
October 22nd, 2010dump.fm is an online platform where the users can post pictures for realtime communication and collaboration. Just think of a chat room with almost only animated GIFs. It is definitely not the right place for everyone, but if you’re up for it … register and join the fun.
dump.fm is holding an IRL event in New York starting tonight, running till October 31th. If you’re in Brooklyn you can go and see the exhibition and you might even see some live dump.fm action at 319 Scholes.
One of the images posted on dump.fm was this one by Ryder Ripps, one of the founders. It was the result of a few iterations.
Jasper Elings added that animated gif to one of his “It was a great opening” images. The result is pure bliss.
An other example of the dump.fm remix culture is this other one made by Ryder. You might recognize the source image, an animated gif made by davidope for today and tomorrow’s 5th birthday last summer.
