December 23rd, 2010“Variations on Pi” is a limited edition of 50 unique light paintings made by Nils Völker. They’re actually long exposure photos of a machine equipped with 16 LEDs. The movement of the machine was defined by different ranges of consecutive decimal places of the number pi. All together 3861 decimal places were used to create the whole edition.

Do Not Touch Chair
December 23rd, 2010Dominic Wilcox his latest project is “Do Not Touch Chair”, it’s his version of a ‘buzz wire’ game. He made a sculpture of a chair by hand bending a single length of wire. The user must navigate around the wire using a metal hoop without touching the wire. If the wire is touched then they will hear his voice warning “Do not touch”.

December 23rd, 2010RE: is an audiovisual installation by Bram Snijders and Carolien Teunisse. It’s a video projection on a 3D object, I know you’ve probably seen a lot of those lately, but this one is different. Here, the projector projects on itself with the help of a few mirrors.


Now That’s What I Call MIDI
December 22nd, 2010Now That’s What I Call MIDI is a project by Internet Archaeology. They want to make a full length EP containing 16 of your favorite Jamz from yesteryear (Nirvana, Ace of Base, Eminem, Jay-Z …) converted from MIDI format onto the plush sound of vinyl. It will be limited to 500 copies only.
You can help this project through Kickstarter. If you pledge $25 or more you’ll receive a copy! They need $2.500 by Sunday January 9th 2011, otherwise no ones pays or receives any money (no risk for you or them). They’re almost half way there, so pitch in. It’s MIDI on vinyl!

Paper Tattoos
December 21st, 2010On a Sailors Grave (no roses grow) is a paper tattoo made by Jacob Dahlstrup Jensen. He used a tattoo machine like a pen on heavy watercolorpaper to create a three-dimensional line by disordering the paper structure.
