“A Study Of Time” isn’t the latest project by rAndom International but it’s one of my favorite. It is actually based on the scenography that they did for the contemporary dance piece FAR by Wayne McGregor | Random Dance. The installation takes light, it’s presence and it’s absence, as a medium for the representation of time. A vividly illuminated autonomous algorithm magically reveals the time of the day, re-imagining the principle of telling time from falling shadows as a contemporary light installation.
I’m pretty sure that his is the weirdest house I’ve ever posted. It was designed by Sou Fujimoto Architects and is located in Tokyo. Just go ahead and watch the video … I just can’t get my head around its structure.
Binary’s Forth Fugue is series of animated gifs made by JK Keller. He used a set of arrow icons designed by Yusuke Kamiyamane, to create animations similar to L-system growth models. The directional path of the arrow attempts to find a forward progression in mounting uncertainty & indecisiveness, eventually bowing to the emergent cacophony of the powers of 2. Mesmerizing work!
It took me quite some time find any information about this image. I found it initially on Traditional Doom, but thank to Google Image Search I figured out that this Venus de Milo was photographed in Jean Paul Gaultier his studio. And now I’m at a dead end. Does anyone know if this is custom installation at Gaultiers studio or does anyone know the artist? Thanks for any hints.
