“Me? I’m just confident. It’s my skills that are arrogant.” This the making of, of one of the 5 key visuals developed by HORT for the Nike Refresh programm.

A few weeks ago I received a small package with this t-shirt from Paul Snowden.
REPOST MY ASS
Thanks Paul!
If you like big type on a t-shirt, then check his WASTED GERMAN YOUTH label.

I know that I’m a little internet-late to this party but the iQ Agility Font is a really cool project. The Belgian advertising agency Happiness Brussels asked Pierre Smeets and Damien Aresta of pleaseletmedesign to create a typeface with a Toyota iQ. They collaborated with Stef van Campenhoudt, a pro race pilot, who had to drive all the characters with the iQ. Zachary Lieberman wrote a custom software to track the movements of the car and translate them into single characters. Of course you can download the font for free here. You can find some making of pictures in this Flickr set.

I really like this collage style of Géraldine Georges.

Illinois: Visualizing Music is a project by graphic designer Jax de Léon, he analyzed the ablum Illinois by Sufjan Stevens in 9 different ways and visualised his findings. The Vocal Album Grid is one of them.
Each square on the grid represents one second of the entire album. Each row makes up one minute and adds up to 1 hour, 14 minutes and 13 seconds. Colored squares indicate the subject of the lyrics being sung during each second, while gray squares indicate when there are only instrumentals and no lyrics are being sung. Multiple voices sung simultaneously are indicated by splitting up the square into sections. Other marks indicate back-up singers and non-word vocals such as “ooh” and “ahh.” Note: All information is approximate.

The theme of the July issue of Wallpaper is sex. They asked Malika Favre of Airside, to turn her Alphabunnies into an alphabet of lovely ladies. Actually Malika did not just do a redesign of the figurines, but she also did a whole new set of letters, she only kept her favorite the G. You can buy the indivual letters as a limited edition print, but you should also have a look at the animated banner on the wallpaper website.
