A few weeks ago, Nike launched the Jordan XX3, the last signature Micheal Jordan sneaker ever (ok we’ll see about that). Ofcourse they made a website to go along with it: XX3. Blast Radius did an excellent job there!
You arrive in some sort of hall from where you can enter 4 diffentent rooms. And when I say rooms, I mean 3D rooms where you can ‘walk’ around thanks to a nice interface. For those of you who don’t like this kind of explorative browsing, there’s a nice and clean alternative navigation at top of the page.
I think this is one of the best implementations of 3D Flash I’ve seen since a long time. It looks like Papervision3D, an open source 3D flash engine, is getting some real momentum here.
And as a bonus: the Nike M4 website, a few months old but definitely worth checking out too.

180 Amsterdam made this animation for adidas, it’s all about Adi Dassler and his achievements. The details and the technique are amazing, you have to watch the ‘Behind the Scenes’ video too! You can find the micro website here.

‘83 original ways to successfully waste your time’ is the claim for the upcoming advertising campaign for Originals Denim by Diesel. Indeed adidas Originals & Diesel are teaming up for a denim line for next Spring/Summer. It’s quite amazing that such 2 huge brands get together.

Mirror Mirror is the title of the adidas spring summer 2008 lookbook. The still life compositions where shot by Maurice Scheltens. A simple but very nice visual concept!

The Reebok Timetanium Ventilator could have been the ultimate product for me: computer generated graphics by John Maeda combined with a sneaker! Unfortunately the sneaker looks … well I’m really disappointed. 100 pairs will be available on RbkCustom on November 13th.

Reebok posted a video on YouTube with John Maeda, at least the source code is on the insole.
More pictures of the sneaker here and here.

Nike Women has this little feature on their website: ‘Gone Running‘. It’s basically a clock that you can hang up, to let others know when you’ll be back from running. On the website you can drag the clock and see a tag line for every 15 minutes. The best one: ‘9:45 PM - The internet will be here when you get back. Promise’.
You can also get one in your snail mail … but I haven’t figured out how.

Adidas is going to release a Stan Smith City Series, one of them is Brussels! It has the Atomium on it! Let’s hope that my local dealer next doors, the adidas originals store, is going to carry them too!
