Didden Village‘ is a rooftop house extension by the Dutch architecture firm MVRDV in Rotterdam. They placed 3 ‘small houses’ on top of an existing one to create a small village. The houses are bedrooms and have each a staircase to the rooms beneath. The whole construction is finished with a blue poly-urethane coating.

Nike Tech Pack

September 3rd, 2007

techpack.jpgNike launched its Tech Pack last weekend. It’s a collection based on innovative performance materials, diverse fabrication and design techniques. And it must say that most of the stuff looks great. So it’s a real let down that the website isn’t on par with the apparel. Some thumbnails don’t load, the videos stutter … hello buffertime … and why o why is it Flash 9?
Boo Nike!

Gone Running

August 31st, 2007

gone_running.jpgNike Women has this little feature on their website: ‘Gone Running‘. It’s basically a clock that you can hang up, to let others know when you’ll be back from running. On the website you can drag the clock and see a tag line for every 15 minutes. The best one: ’9:45 PM – The internet will be here when you get back. Promise’.
You can also get one in your snail mail … but I haven’t figured out how.
