This video is actually quite boring, only after one minute it starts to become interesting. It’s basically a demo of the book ‘Magic Moving Images: Animated Optical Illusions‘. The images in the book are ‘layered’ animations which you can see when you slide a half transparent mask over it …
Mmmhh, I can think of some ways to use this technique … give me that gold lion damn it.

By now everybody has heard about Damien Hirst‘s diamond skull, ‘For The Love of God‘, that’s worth $100 million. PIEK!, some dutch artists, made this piece called ‘Damien Hirst trips over a diamond the size of his head and dies‘, it’s limited to 10 pieces and a bargain at €500.

Maserati Ghibli 1966 by Ron van der Ende

This Maserati Ghibli 1966 is made by Ron van der Ende out of wood. It looks like it’s a real 3D wooden model, but it’s only 16 cm deep. Ron uses wood as his main material for his art pieces, most of them are wood reliefs.

Charles Mazé is a visual communications student who did some nice projects with so called drawing robots. One of them is Reservoir dog, he took a toy dog, removed its skin and replaced its legs with markers, and then let it walk around inside a circuit.
