NOW (#2 mirror) by Doug Aitken.

These are actually just a few photos of an analog monitor covered with glass beads. But it looks awesome. It’s actually part of an art edition mobile phone called PixCell via PRISMOID, designed by Kohei Nawa. The description of the project sounds a little weird, but the result is great.





Hirsutio Vases by Giles Miller. Quite interesting shapes made of brass, aluminium and glass.

“Ventricle Vessel” is a heart shaped, glass vase, designed by Eva Milinkovic.

Alphablast is a series of decorated drinking glasses designed by Marco Dessí. He used orange nets as a template to sandblast their pattern onto fine Lobmeyr mouthblown glass. A very simple idea with a nice outcome. Each glass is unique.

“Cinderella’s Chair” by Anna Ter Haar is a collection of chairs with prostheses made of glass. Each prothesis was blown onto the chair to make fit perfectly. Glass however, is a very fragile material but the legs of glass are strong enough to carry weight.


You can go and try the “Broken Self Sculpture” by Rafaël Rozendaal at the AFK Sculpture Park in Berlin till September 26th. It’s based on his Broken Self .com piece.
