I’ve heard about a Puma RS sneaker that you could plugin into your PC. But this Louis Vuitton shoe takes it to the next level. Photo by David Byun for surface.

Gwendolyn Huskens is a student at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. She studies in the department of man and identity. Her project Medic Esthetic is about the beauty of imperfection. She used medical materials like synthetic plaster, bandages and stainless steel in white and skin tones, to make these shoes. The esthetics is superior to the wearability.

The adidas Stan Smith is a true iconic tennis sneaker. Shigeki Fujishiro was asked to do a remake, he decided not to go wild but to use the original vent holes for some simple embroidery.
Jim Lasser is an art director and copywriter at Wieden+Kennedy, Portland, and he made these Obama Force One sneakers.

The adidas Y-3 is one of the few websites who relaunch twice a year. It’s a fashion thing I guess, adidas Y-3 is a cooperation between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto. Over the years, the website was always on the forefront of Flash based web design. But it is nice to see that they are cutting down on the effects and go for a more straight forward approach. I’ve noticed this on many websites lately, simplicity is making a big comeback. So maybe the spring/summer 2009 website will be mix between Flash and HTML.

This womens shoe called ‘Molnet’ is definitely one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen with 3 stripes on. It is so hideous that is cool again, just never ever put those red things on.

If you buy the Raf Simons Zip Change Sneakers, you’ll get 2 pairs of shoes. Well actually not, you’ll get one rubber sole and 2 uppers which you can zip together. The idea is funny, but the sneakers look like … fugly and they even cost £499.00.

The Brazilian plastic shoe manufacturer Melissa asked the famous British architect Zaha Hadid to design a shoe. The outcome is exactly what you would expect from Zaha Hadid. Did you notice that both shoes are different?

Is it the composition or the colors or the legs … I just had to post this photo. It part of the campaign for Scholl – Diego Dolcini, photographed by MI-ZO.
‘The Way Things Go‘ is a film by Peter Fischli & David Weiss, an artists duo from Switzerland. It’s a 30 minutes chain reaction video made in 1987, and definitely worth watching. I can also recommend the video work by Roman Signer.
And as a little extra, this piece called ‘Masturbine’ by the same artists, part of their Équilibres.
