Buy-Sellf collects and proposes objects that are not mass-produced but are the outcome of artistic processes, in more general terms of experimentation.
On May 31th 2008, Nike projected a choreographed slideshow of China’s Golden Athletes on 4 columns of the CCTV building in Beijing. Three of the columns featured the athletes in their competitive stance, to reflect their readiness and determination, while the fourth column featured the graphic motif from the competition gear, focusing on “China”.
It’s quite impressive what Nike already did in Beijing in the anticipation of the olympics, apparently they really recognized the fact that these olympics will get more attention than any other one.
This years summer Olympics in Beijing doesn’t only cause political commotion, but it is also a commercial event. A lot of brands will use the media coverage to launch new products. This is the new Nike PreCool Vest; not your average sports equipment. The design was inspired by a 1960s mini dress and medical packaging. The triangles have a double layer, on the inside there is frozen water, the outer layer is just air for isolation. The purpose? With core cooling, athletes can often last 21% longer.
Nike Women has this little feature on their website: ‘Gone Running‘. It’s basically a clock that you can hang up, to let others know when you’ll be back from running. On the website you can drag the clock and see a tag line for every 15 minutes. The best one: ’9:45 PM – The internet will be here when you get back. Promise’.
You can also get one in your snail mail … but I haven’t figured out how.

I’m totally not a Mercedes guy, if I had to choose between a Mercedes and an other car, I would take the other car. Actually I’m more into Italian cars, I’m so easily to seduce with good looks, like an Alfa Romeo GTA or any other 60′s Alfa designed by Bertone …
Anyway, I could make an exception for this 300SEL 6.3 tuned by AMG to an 6.8 motor. What a beast!
