Nintendo is starting it’s marketing engines for it’s new video game console called Wii. On Wii.com you can find some short clips of people playing golf, bowling, tennis and baseball with the new game controller. I will definitely try it out when I get the chance to.

This is one of the best matryoshka I have ever seen, by Glossy.tv.

Made with 323 Rubiks cubes.
Carolina Melis made this very nice video for LocoRoco, a PSP game.
Mother is not only an ad agency in London, but also a toy manufacturer: world cup action figures.
There’s an article on PingMag, “10 Questions with a Joystick Master“. Very interesting for us, children of electronic entertainment.
Roger Ibars‘ project entitled “Hard-wired Devices” uses familiar input devices for unfamiliar purposes. Whether he is making a Nintendo controller program the time on an alarm clock or an old-school retro joystick control a game of Snake on a Nokia phone, Roger’s objects pose questions about the idea of interaction and our relationship with mechanical devices. PingMag asked Roger about interaction design and where he thinks the joystick evolution will lead…

Mattel asked design students at several universities to come up with new ideas for toys. Floor it! is one of those ideas.
Floor It! is arcade car racing brought to life. The radio controlled cars sense and react to arcade inspired course conditions like oil slicks, turbo power-ups, water hazards, and more.
The Floor It! race cars are controlled through a realistic free floating steering wheel. There are two compartments in the steering wheel, one which contains the vehicle and the other the re-useable course conditions and accessories. The steering wheel becomes a convenient carrying case that enables the child to keep everything in one place and easily transport it.
