Think Filthy
August 23rd, 2007This is an excellent TV commercial for Fresh TV, an adult TV channel from New Zealand. It’s totally ‘Safe for Work’, unless you ‘Think Filthy‘ (unfortunately ‘be back soon’).

Maybe you have seen some pictures of São Paulo lately, the mayor decided that all billboard advertising should disappear. Tony de Marco has a nice set of images which document this unique city landscape. Sky Movies made this tv commercial in São Paulo to advertise for their film channels without breaks for advertising. Simple but good, pay attention to the music!

There’s a lot of promotion going on for the upcoming The Simpsons Movie. We’ve seen the Kwik-E-Marts. But now they have special in the august issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the title of the piece is ‘The Simpsons go to Paris with Linda Evangelista’. They dressed up The Simpsons in several outfits by Versace, Chanel, Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Viktor & Rolf and Louis Vuitton. You can see all the pages here.
The final episode of ‘The Sopranos‘, one of my favorite TV shows ever, aired last Sunday. The whole show was excellent, the details they’ve put in, the music … I loved it. It’s going to be hard to find some show that is on par with ‘The Sopranos‘, I must say that I quite liked ‘The Wire‘ though.
Here are 2 videos. The first one is the suberb intro of the show with as soundtrack ‘Woke Up This Moring’ by Alabama 3.
The second one is a live version of ‘Don’t stop believing’ by Journey, the last song ever in the show. The lyrics just fit perfectly.
That looks familiar right? This video is 10 years old and shows some excerpts from Dave Letterman’s show.
Here’e a chicken or egg dilema. Who was first?
Dave Chappelle – Nigga Family
VS
a japanese TV pilot – Tokyo Breakfast
My bets are on Chappelle!
Sony is making a new TV commercial for it’s Bravia products. They launched a blog to document the whole process and to give you some behind the scenes info. The expectations are quite high after their first Bravia TVC. The new TVC will be called Paint, see the URL. There’s a grey building as a sneak-peek … I guess it’s going to be colourful.
