Poses is a new performance by Yolanda Domínguez. It’s a direct criticism of the absurd and artificial world of glamour and of fashion that magazines present. She asked a group of real women to transfer fashion poses to daily scenes: the queue of a museum, the supermarket or the bus stop, sparking off the reaction of the spectators.
Time Print Machine by Paul Ferragut is a printing system using felt pen on blotting paper. The felt-pen ink bleed in the paper for a duration relative to the grey value of a pixel. “PING! Augmented Pixel” is Niklas Roy‘s latest project.
“PING! – Augmented Pixel” is a seventies style video game, that adds a layer of digital information and old-school aesthetics to a video signal: A classic rectangular video game ball moves across a video image. Whenever the ball hits something dark, it bounces off. The game itself has no rules and no goal.
You could say that it’s just an augmented reality version of Pong. But Niklas just did a little more than just that. PING! – Augmented Pixel doesn’t use a computer to process the video signal and display the game. Niklas made a read hardware box with its own micro-controller. Impressive work!

“Content is Queen” is a new project by Sergio Albiac, it is a generative video painting that comments on democracy and power.
At the same time, is a paradoxical dialogue and strange marriage between the banal and utterly majestic: to create the series, the most popular (in a truly democratic sense) internet videos of a given moment are used as the input of a generative process that “paints” with action the image of a contemporary Queen.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been that blown away by a web technology. So if you have the latest version of Google Chrome installed and a pretty decent graphicscard, go ahead and be …
Fire Painting is a cybernetic construction made by Sanela Jahić. The viewer can set off explosive levels of kerosene by subtle movements of a sensory data glove. The image can be manipulated, yet it constantly escapes control.
